This year Youth4Crhist Ministry (Creating History for Christ) went to Haileybury Ontario to share the love of Jesus through out the commnity of haileybury. During our time there we were able to put on a VBS program for the kids and also a odd job program that allowed us to reach many people through out.
This years trip started with a bit of uncertainty as in the begining we did not know where the funding was going to come from. we had many ideas and wanted to work hard towords funding for the trip but time was against us. Our Pastor David James remained calm and consistant as he moved with faith continuing to send out emails every week with important information for the trip. at times it seemed like people were not interested and maybe things would not go as planned, but God had a plan. We continued to lay the ground work and reached out to our hands on the ground in haileybury ontario, Sister Debbie and Pastor Phil Lee. These two individuals were able to spread the word long before our arival through out the community about Youth4Crhist Ministries. Our first day on the ground consisted of everyone pitching in to help set up for VBX while some people went out and continued to canvas the area letting people know that we were in town.
We were truely blessed to have a Doctor with us on this trip, Dr. Benjamin Keoko. He performed health check ups at the local flea market and a complete health seminar every evening at the Temiskanin Penticostal church. The Doctor was accompanied with one of our own Brother Mclauren who is a very knowledgeable in herb treaments and a natural health specialist and loves it. Every night after the seminars were finished people would return outside to his booth where he would go through the many herbs on display and their different uses.
We had the pleasure of helping many families who needed help with many different things. One perticular family that we were helping with weeding their back yard had a very sad situation. their 2 year old doughter had develop a tunmour on her lower back, our Sister Debbie was impressed to visit the family so that we can pray with them and verbally reasure them of our support.
There is just so much so say about our trip we would not be able to write it all out but will post many pictures. Please sure our story and enjoy the pictures and videos.
